Where life is lived
A bird’s nature is to fly.
A fish’s nature is to swim.
A monkey’s nature is to climb.
Your mind’s nature is to think.
Your mind does not think because it needs to think.
Your mind thinks because that is what minds do.
To try and stop your thoughts is to enter into a war with your mind.
And, like any war, you will only be met with great resistance.
Unless you want to fight tooth and nail until your final breath.
This is not a battle worth fighting.
Let the thoughts run.
Let the thoughts come.
Allow the thoughts freedom.
See the thoughts inside and out.
Watch the thoughts dance and play.
Observe the thoughts go on endless tangents.
The truth is that thoughts won’t harm you if you are aware.
The truth is they only cause harm if you are not aware of them.
The power of thoughts does not come from watching them.
The power of thoughts comes from not watching them.
The power of thoughts comes from listening to them.
The power of thoughts comes from believing them.
The power of thoughts comes from attaching to them.
Feel the instant relief of letting your thoughts run, knowing they are not you.
Feel that peaceful space start opening up between you and your thoughts.
That space is where life is lived.
