Two monks
Two monks have been traveling for many miles.
Along their journey, they came across a woman who was alone and badly injured.
She couldn’t walk and needed to be carried to the closest town miles away to receive proper care.
The problem was that all monks had taken a sacred vow never to touch a woman.
Without any thought, the older monk put the woman on his back and carried her to the next town.
After dropping the woman off, the two monks continued on their journey.
A few hours passed when the upset younger monk finally said to the older monk, “Why did you carry that woman when we took a vow as monks not to touch women?”
The older monk replies, “I set her down hours ago in the town. Why are you still carrying her?”
