If the reward is not immediate, the action is not worth taking.

You may believe it takes hard work, discipline, delayed gratification, and sacrifice to accomplish your goals.

It does not.

If it did, everyone who worked hard, was disciplined, practiced delayed gratification, and sacrificed would accomplish their goals.

The reality is that they do not.

Why?

They never understood that the only lasting reward one can ever obtain is the very action one takes.

If you genuinely found joy in your work, you would not need to trick yourself into working hard.
